Mabel Kidwell

Ms. Kidwell was fortunate to have friends establish a designated endowment fund on her behalf to honor her legacy for education. The Mabel Kidwell Scholarship Fund was created to provide one or more postsecondary educational scholarships to one or more residents of Clay County, Indiana who were graduating from a Clay County high school.

Ms. Kidwell was highly involved with the Wabash Valley chapter of Business & Professional Women. She played an important role in the Reality Store that the group presented to local high school students each year. She also started a literacy program at the Brazil Public Library.

Knowing Ms. Kidwell's love for education, a group of friends decided to establish this fund in her honor. Although she passed away in 2005, Ms. Kidwell will continue to help students fund their education for years to come.
