Sally & Henry Geitz

Sally Organ Pierce Geitz grew up in a family where education was extremely important. Many people in her family worked as teachers or school administrators. Sally and her brother Jack both graduated from Sullivan High School as valedictorians. Because Sally strongly believed in rewarding achievement, she decided to set up the John and Eunice Organ Valedictorian Scholarship with her sister.

Henry Geitz also had a life experience that made him choose to establish an endowment fund. After spending his childhood in Chicago during the depression, he wanted to be able to help young people who struggle. He spoke with a teacher at Sullivan Elementary who told him about the needs of her students. He set up the Angels for Sullivan Elementary School fund to help those students and many more classes to come.
